Ninth Annual EL CORAZÓN Art Exhibition

February 8, 2003- 6 to 9 PM
With
a special musical performance by Jacco Velarde and Cynthia Wolf.
This
exhibit features interpretations of the human heart (El Corazón),
a significant symbol in Mexican art, and a significant theme in
western culture. This art exhibition features the work of over
50 artists from Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. The
show includes a wide array of paintings, sculptures, photography,
and mixed-media pieces.
Jose
Vargas is a Dallas art photographer who, for the last 12 years,
has been curating the annual El Corazón art exhibition
and the annual La Virgen de Guadalupe art exhibition for the City
of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. Mr. Vargas has exhibited
extensively both locally and regionally.
