October 12-November 3, 2001 DIA DE LOS MUERTOS Day of
the Dead Art Exhibit Over 50 exciting local and regional artists are presented in this invitational show that examines our mortality. Traditional Mexican altars to the dead will be shown alongside very contemporary works. Special lectures and workshops on the celebration of the Day of the Dead will also be presented. The Bath House will also create
a special community altar space-- Anyone who wishes to participate
is invited to express/convey their thoughts and feelings about
the recent tragic events in NYC and Washington DC. You can place
items on the community altar, create an altar or artwork of your
own, or convey your written thoughts, messages or feelings related
to the tragedy in several places reserved for writing.
