Opening Reception With the Artist:
Saturday, June 5, 2004 (6-8 PM)

The Bath House Cultural Center presents Outside the Lines 4, a juried art exhibition featuring new works by local and regional artists.

OUTSIDE THE LINES 4 is presented to celebrate the transcendent, innovative and experimental work of visual artists.

The exhibition features 20 local and regional artists and includes works in different media (painting, sculpture, photography, etchings and mixed media).

Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.

THE JURORS:

SARA CARDONA is an accomplished visual artist who has exhibited in numerous art shows in Dallas and Texas. Some of her exhibitions include last year’s Mix! Series Exhibition at the Dallas Center for Contemporary Art and Las Loterias at the gallery of Texas Woman’s University. Ms. Cardona serves as a member of the Latino Cultural Center Visual Arts Committee and has been an Instructor of Humanities at Richland College since 2003.

J R COMPTON is the Editor and Publisher of DallasArtsRevue.com, whose purpose is to celebrate and promote Dallas visual art and artists. DARts now has more than 500 web pages of information for and about Dallas artists, including often-updated calendars, artists' opportunities, art news, views, reviews and links.

Mr. Compton has been documenting White Rock Lake and Park for many years on a daily to weekly basis using digital cameras. In April of 2004, the Bath House Cultural Center had the honor of hosting an exhibition of White Rock Lake photographs by Mr. Compton.

TERRI STONE is a Dallas sculptor and exhibition curator. Until early 2004, Ms. Stone served as the Vice-President of the Texas Sculpture Association, a non-profit organization incorporated in 1983 with the mission to provide Texas Sculptors with the opportunity to learn more about the art of sculpture and to share this artistic vision with the public through exhibitions.

Ms. Stone has been an active sculptor and painter with exhibitions throughout Texas. Recently, she has been selected to participate in exhibitions at the Irving Arts Center’s Sculpture Garden, the Boyd Gallery, Mesquite Arts Center and the City of Dallas Public Art Program.
