CONNECTIONS II JURIED EXHIBITION

Presented by the Texas Sculpture Association.

The Bath House Cultural Center and the Texas Sculpture Association (TSA) present CONNECTIONS II, a juried sculpture exhibition. This year, Tony Wright, Head of Design and Installations at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth selected the artwork featured in the exhibition. The show runs from March 29 to April 20, 2002.

AN OPENING RECEPTION WITH THE ARTISTS will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2002 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

THE JUROR, Anthony Wright, is an artist living in Fort Worth, Texas. Born in Upstate New York, Mr. Wright holds a bachelor's degree from Herron School of Art, Indianapolis and a Master of Fine Art degree from Texas Christian University. He has exhibited extensively throughout his career. Mr. Wright's work is in many private collections across the country. His sculpture revolves around interpretations of landscapes both natural and man-made.

Mr. Wright's artwork is on display in the Irving Arts Center's sculpture garden website at http://www.ci.irving.tx.us/Arts/SculptureGarden/sculpture.htm

The TEXAS SCULPTURE ASSOCIATION (TSA) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1983 with the mission to provide Texas Sculptors with the opportunity to learn more about the art of sculpture and to share this artistic vision with the public through exhibitions. In the past nineteen years, TSA has positioned itself as a major artistic resource both locally and
nationally. Members include artists, teachers, business professionals, small companies, collectors and large corporations, all of who have strong interest in sculpture.

TSA Members are working together to promote and exhibit sculpture while developing a public awareness of the sculpture medium. Events, including lectures, exhibits, tours, workshops, potluck suppers, give members the opportunity to share ideas, techniques and exchange information on their experiences.
